ไทยส่งมอบการเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุม SGATAR ประจำปีแก่สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี
เมื่อวันที่ ๒ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๖๖ ที่ผ่านมาระหว่างพิธีปิดการประชุม SGATAR ประจำปี ครั้งที่ ๕๒ ดร.กุลยา ตันติเตมิท อธิบดีกรมบัญชีกลาง รักษาราชการแทน อธิบดีกรมสรรพากรไทย ในฐานะเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุมได้ส่งมอบธง SGATAR แก่ Mr.Changki KIM Commissioner of National Tax Service สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี เพื่อส่งมอบการเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุมแก่สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี โดยการประชุม SGATAR ประจำปี ครั้งที่ ๕๓ จะจัดขึ้นในปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๖๗ (ค.ศ. ๒๐๒๔) ณ กรุงโซล สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี
พร้อมกันนี้ ดร.กุลยา ตันติเตมิท ประธาน SGATAR ได้กล่าวปิดการประชุม SGATAR ประจำปี ครั้งที่ ๕๒ โดยระบุว่าการประชุมในช่วง ๓ วันที่ผ่านมาผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมได้ร่วมกันสำรวจแนวคิดและกลยุทธ์ใหม่ ๆ เพื่อให้ระบบนิเวศทางภาษีเป็นธรรม มีประสิทธิภาพ และโปร่งใส จนได้คำแนะนำที่มีคุณค่า และได้เน้นย้ำว่าความร่วมมือระหว่างผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมจะทำให้เกิดความก้าวหน้าของการบริหารการจัดเก็บภาษีในภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิก นอกจากนั้น ดร.กุลยา ตันติเตมิท ได้กล่าวขอบคุณผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมทุกคนทั้งผู้แทนจาก ๑๘ เขตเศรษฐกิจและผู้สังเกตการณ์จากองค์การระหว่างประเทศ ๑๑ องค์การ วิทยากรจาก Asian Development Bank (ADB), International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) และ Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes คณะทำงาน SGATAR (SGATAR Taskforce) ตลอดจนนายนิรันดร์ ประจวบเหมาะ เลขาธิการการประชุมและคณะทำงานจัดการประชุมจากกรมสรรพากร
หลังจากพิธีปิดการประชุม ดร.กุลยา ตันติเตมิท ได้มอบของที่ระลึกแก่ผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมเป็นรูปปั้นช้างจาก Elephant Parade ซึ่งเป็นวิสาหกิจเพื่อสังคมที่มุ่งสร้างความตระหนักในความจำเป็นของการอนุรักษ์ช้าง โดยกำไรสุทธิร้อยละ ๒๐ ของ Elephant Parade จะบริจาคแก่สวัสดิการช้างและโครงการอนุรักษ์ช้าง
ทั้งนี้ ไทยจะทำหน้าที่ประธาน SGATAR และประธาน SGATAR Taskforce ไปจนกว่าจะมีการเลือกประธาน SGATAR ใหม่ในการประชุม SGATAR ประจำปี ครั้งที่ ๕๓ โดยระหว่างนี้ SGATAR Taskforce จะรับผิดชอบการดำเนินการตามแผนการทำงานประจำปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๖๗ (ค.ศ. ๒๐๒๔) ของ SGATAR
Thailand has handed over the hosting of the SGATAR Annual Meeting to the Republic of Korea
On 2nd November 2023, during the closing ceremony of the 52nd SGATAR Annual Meeting, Dr.Kulaya Tantitemit, the Director-General of the Comptroller General’s Department acting Director-General of Thailand’s Revenue Department as the host of the meeting, handed over the SGATAR flag to Mr.Changki Kim, Commissioner of the National Tax Service of the Republic of Korea, signifying the transfer of hosting responsibility for the SGATAR Annual Meeting. The 53rd SGATAR Annual Meeting will be held in 2024 in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
Concurrently, Dr.Kulaya Tantitemit, the Chair of SGATAR, concluded the 52nd SGATAR Annual Meeting by stating that during the past 3 days, participants collaborated to explore innovative ideas and strategies, aiming for a fair, efficient, and transparent tax ecosystem and resulting in valuable recommendations. Dr.Kulaya emphasised that collaboration among participants would lead to advancements in tax administration in the Asia-Pacific region. She also expressed gratitude to all participants, including delegates from 18 member jurisdictions and observers from 11 international organisations, distinguished speakers from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD), and the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes, the SGATAR Taskforce, as well as Mr.Nirandara Prachuabmoh, Secretary-General for the meeting and the meeting management teams from Thailand’s Revenue Department.
After the closing ceremony of the meeting, Dr.Kulaya presented souvenirs to the participants, which were elephant statues from Elephant Parade, a social enterprise aimed at raising awareness for the need of elephant conservation. 20% of Elephant Parade’s net profits will be donated to elephant welfare and conservation projects.
Thailand will serve as the Chair of SGATAR and SGATAR Taskforce until a new SGATAR Chair is elected at the 53rd SGATAR Annual Meeting. In the meantime, the SGATAR Taskforce will be responsible for implementing the 2024 SGATAR Work Programme.
